Lauren was inspired to write this poem after reading a religious book, which allowed her to contemplate where her values come from in life.

What is life but a vapor

A single bit of stardust

In an infinite galaxy

What are we but mere people

Making, changing, shifting

In an infinite galaxy

A lifespan defined

Documented, detailed, delimited

In an infinite galaxy

If forgotten, did it matter?

Making finite changes for a finite lifespan.

If remembered, did it matter?

A finite life dedicated to the infinite above.
