Sea glass

Giuliana shares a profoundly touching poem about finding herself, through the metaphor of sea glass.

Rough hands emptied me just like his heart

Cracked lips and a cracked neck

Discarded in sand

Broken pieces like my own

The tides take me,

Break me, Carve my body

Into softer pieces

Harden not my heart

Caress what once was sharp

Wash the poison

Scatter what is shattered

I am no longer a vessel, used

I am a piece of myself

Yet to be found
